Broke Stampers Unite

Hello it's Wednesday.......yup that means it time for another Broke Stampers Unite project.
This week we are focusing on 3D projects. So for mine I chose to do a pillow box using the Stampin Up Square Pillow Box Thinlits Dies. Such a cute and easy lil box to put together.

I used Garden Green for the box and then added a belly band of Merry Moments DSP. Love the plaid pattern. I then pulled out the Festive Flower Builder Punch and made a pretty 3D poinsettia using Real Red card stock and Old Olive for the leaves. I punched 8 large leaves stamped with the large veins stamp in the Reason For The Season stamp set for the first layer of the flower and glued them to a punched circle of card stock. I then repeated the process to get a good full result. I used a dimensional between the two layers to really give it the 3D look . I then stamped and punched 8 medium leaves and glued them to a small circle of card stock. and added another dimensional to pop that layer up. I finished with four of the double leaves stamped and punched then layered in the center of the others. I finished off with three candy dots to give my pop of yellow for the center of the flower. I then decided it might be cool to add some wink of stella in white glitter to the tops of the petals. It gave it a fun effect with just a small pop of glitz. I added three of the large leaves punched in Old Olive and stamped in Garden Green. I then made a tag punched with the Note Tag punch and stamped with a greeting from Merry Everything stamp set and tied on with a bit of silver 1/8 in Ribbon.

Be sure to hop over to Terri's Blog at My Stamp Vault and see what she came up with for this 3D challenge.

Have a great day Thank You again for following along. Now go play in some ink! :)

Cucumber Crush

Hello and good day,

Todays post is all about Cucumber Crush. This is one of the In-Colors for 2015-17. I decided to take it for a spin and focus on just this color. It's such a pretty shade of green. With the ink color, the card stock color, the beautiful dotted lace ribbon (that I just finally broke out by the way....gasp!) why did I wait so long? All in the perfect matching shade it makes it so easy to have fantastic results with your projects. This is also a great shade of green to pair with some Real Red and make stunning Christmas cards. Something to think about. I hope you enjoy this trip to Cucumber Crush. If you haven't tried it out yet I so encourage you to. Have a great day...Thanks for stopping by. Oh yeah...don't forget to stop by tomorrow to see what I came up with for my Broke Stampers Unite post.....It's going to be good!

Warmth and Cheer

Hello, and Thank You for stopping by. Todays post is a bit of an alternative style Christmas card. Just an idea that has been rattling around. I started with a piece of Basic Black card stock and i used the white craft ink pad and rubbed it on the inside of the softly falling TEIF. I placed my card stock inside the folder closed it and then gently rubbed the outside of it, transferring the ink to the card stock. I then stamped the tree from Sheltering Tree and the grass image in versamark ink and sprinkled white embossing powder on it then heat set it. I stamped my sentiment from Joyful Season in Real Red ink on Whisper White card stock. I used a bit of Real Red cotton ribbon and fished with some bling.
I'm happy with the way it turned out. Hope you enjoy it also. Have a great day. Please visit again.

Thanks For Being You

Hello and welcome to todays post. This sweet card was inspired by a card I found on Pinterest By Susanne Jordan. I changed it up some but the basics are there. I just love the clean sweet look to this.
I started with a base of Pink Pirouette and stamped the lines from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set in Pink Pirouette. I then added some splatter marks also from the Gorgeous Grunge set in Rose Red. I stamped the flowers from Petite Petals and punch them with the Petite Petal Punch then used dimensionals to make them pop of the page. I stamped the sentiment from the Crazy About You stamp set by building my words to make the greeting. I added some bling because it just brings it all to life! Hope you enjoy todays card.....I thought I would take a break from the fall and holiday style cards. Thank You for stopping by!

Friend

Hello and Happy Saturday,

As the Thunder is rolling this evening and I'm prepping for today's post, I grab for a beautiful flower set. Awesomely Artistic.
I began with a base of Pink Pirouette and with the lovely vellum card stock I used a versamark pad and stamped my image. I then used White embossing powder and heat embossed my image. From the back of the vellum I colored the flowers and leaves with some Wink Of Stella brush pens. This is one of the first times playing with these markers and I have to say they are pretty interesting. I like the effect. I glued the vellum to the card stock and used some Pink Pirouette ribbon to hide my adhesive. I stamped the sentiment and the label in Garden Green and Pink Pirouette ink. I then used some siver cording trim with some dimensionals behind the sentiment to add some interest. Finished it with some bling and there ya go. I love the delicate look of this card. Hope you enjoy todays offering and hope it inspires you to do some stamping. Have a wonderful weekend. Thank You for stopping by!

SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY

Welcome to Sketch Frenzy Friday!!! This weeks sketch comes to us from Kim Innis. This was a challenge for me because I don't really do ovals.  I don't have any ovals. Ovals are just not my thing. So I took a bit of creative license and substituted a leaf for an oval. Hmm wasn't sure at first if it would work but I think it worked quite well!!! Hahahaha I started with a base of crumb cake. Layered a crushed curry banner I punched with the banner triple punch. I used foam dobbers to apply ink in crush curry, always artichoke, and cajun craze ink pads. I stamped the leaf in basic black and cut it out with the leaflet framelits. I used the label stamp and friend stamp from awesomely artistic in soft suede and always artichoke. Popped it up with dimensionals and added a Woden leaf element. Hope you enjoy this weeks sketch. Be sure to play along by using the link on the sketch frenzy friday blog. Have a great week......thank you for stopping by.

Broke Stampers Unite

How is you week going?? It's the middle of it for most but not for me. I have been on quite a stretch at work and today has become my long awaited and much needed Friday of sorts. I get one day of this week ugh! I'm paying for having the weekend off  earlier this month LOL So because of that and other unforseen adventures that have popped up this week I'm doing a simple and quick set of cards for this weeks featured set.

I'll stop babbling and get to another Broke Stampers Unite post.
This week we were to make a post using the Thankful Forest Friends stamp set. This set paired with the Into The Woods DSP is such a nice fall set, complete with great fall greetings. I selected some of the suggested colors that match the DSP. Colors like Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Tangelo Twist, and Soft Suede. I matched up some great ribbons in Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie, and Daffodil Delight.
Such a great way to make some quick and cute fall cards.
I only did some basic single colored stamping. Nothing too fancy just a way to pop out a bunch of cards in a little time. I did do some fussing cutting on some of the animals.
Hope you enjoy this weeks set! Be sure to head over to Terri's blog Here to see what fun things she came up with this week. Thank you so much for stopping by.....have a great rest of your week!

Thanks and Giving

Here's a continuation card from yesterday's post. I did add some pearl jewels to this one. Loving the purple hues.

Card base is Elegant Eggplant, I stamped the images in Basic Black and colored them with the markers you see there. Crushed Curry, Old Olive and Perfect Plum. I used some DSP from the English Garden pack. Sentiment was stamped in Elegant Eggplant.

Lighthearted Leaves is really so versatile, I know I keep saying that but it really is. Hope you enjoy today's card. Be sure to come back tomorrow for another Broke Stampers Unite post. We are featuring a certain stamp set. :)
Have a great rest of your day!!!

Grateful Leaf

Well Hello......
I missed today post. Mostly lol. It's been crazy busy for me these last few days and trying to get in here to stamp with the energy to actually stamp has been a challenge in itself. So, here's a card I whipped up this evening, and I'm really happy with the result.
Lighthearted Leaves stamp set
Wisteria Wonder base, with Elegant Eggplant and Perfect Plum layers. Stamped the image in Basic Black colored it in using Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive, and Crushed Curry Stampin write markers.
I used some silver Sequin ribbon and silver cording trim across the bottom and the sentiment was stamped in Perfect Plum.

I have been a Stampin Up! user/stamper for many many years and over this past year I have been updating my supplies including replacing all my ink pads and markers. I'm really loving these colors today! So much better than my older versions that I've been limping along with.

Hope you enjoy this evenings card.....sorry it's so late in the day, but at least I manage a daily post right???
Thank You for stopping by.

Just Sayin Hello

Good Sunday!!!

Hope your weekend is going well. So I combined the festive flower builder punch with some pretty petals DSP and this was the result.
I'm pretty happy with it. I don't think it's a card that would get stuffed in an envelope because it would get squished, but, I like it.

Card base is Calypso Coral with a layer of Whisper White.
Made the flower with the Festive Flower Punch. I layered 8 large petals and 8 small petals with a dimensional in the middle to give it some lift, then layered 4 of the double petals for the center. Added a pearl jewel to finish off the look. Sentiment was stamped in Calypso Coral and then the hello is from the Hello You thinlits.

Hope you enjoy today's card....have a great Sunday and Thank You for stopping by.

Thankful Saturday

How are you doing today??? It's my weekend to work so well that's where I'm at. Still fighting a cold though ugh. Hoping I'm on the mend now. I pulled out a set from the Annual catalog that I haven't touched since last December. Wonderous Wreath. Love the matching framelits for this set too.  But then again I love it when I don't have to fussy cut.

Started with a base of Mossy Meadow. Added a square of Whisper White and then stamped my wreath in Tangelo Twist  with Cajun Crazy. And cut it out  using Dimensionals I popped it up. Added the bow image stamped in Crushed Curry. The sentiment came from the Thankful Forest Friends. I isolated the word thankful using a chocolate chip Stampin write marker then fussy cut it out. Used a strip of Delightful  Dijon dotted lace ribbon.

It's just a simple card today. Like I said this cold is still hanging around. I have some fun ideas rolling around but having trouble getting excited about stamping when this ick is hanging around. So enough whining. Thank You for stopping by. Go and stamp something fun today!!!

Sketch Frenzy Friday

It's Friday again......Woo Hoo! Unfortunately I have to work all weekend but I have created a fun card for this weeks sketch. Our design this week comes from Stacey Tomkowiak. I had fun with this and decided to use a Christmas set, Joyful Season, but tried a more everyday style card. I love seeing how I can use a set for things other than it's intended purpose. Doesn't look so much like a Christmas card huh?

I used a base of Basic Black card stock and I embossed it with the Woodlands embossing folder. Sadly you can't really see that in the pic. I then used some DSP from the Go Wild stack with the banner triple punch. I think this stack goes nicely with this set. I used a circle of  the gold foil sheets.for my layered element. I stamped my sentiment from Crazy About You and puched it out with the Word Window Punch. I stamped and Heat embossed my bird with gold embossing powder, then colored it in with the a marker I just realized was a contraband color....What was I thinking?? Ugh anyway, Hope you enjoy this weeks sketch and please play along with us. There's a link at the bottom of the SFF blog post where you can add your own card made with this sketch. Do it...it'll be fun! :) Here's the Link

Have a great weekend...Thanks for stopping by.

Throw Back Thursday

I'm going to pull out a Throw Back Thurday card....! Yes I just did that. LOL This is a card I first posted waaaaay back in July. LOL Why??? Because I had a ton of stamping that I needed to do..... which I was able to complete by the way..... But none of them were cards I could share. :) So 8 cards later I'm fighting a cold and my meds have worn off and it's late and well I had to come up with something. I didn't want to break my streak of a daily post! Okay so that's my story and well here we go.

Card Base is done in Pacific Point. The big butterfly was cut out of DSP with the butterfly framelits. LOVE THIS SET! I used the Butterfly Basics stamp set in Daffodil Delight, sentiment was stamped in Pacific Point using the Crazy About You stamp set. I added some of our delicious rhinestone jewels.

Wishing you all a great day! Join me tomorrow for some Sketch Frenzy Friday action! Thank You!

Broke Stampers Unite

Welcome to this weeks Broke Stampers Unite post.
I can't believe I almost forgot to get this one done. I was working away on another project when I finally remembered I hadn't done this weeks BSU challenge.

I had a lot of fun with this....Not only is this a really great color combo, but it's a combo that I probably would never have come to on my own.
Early Espresso
Lost Lagoon
Crumb Cake
Mossy Meadow
So armed with only those colors this is what I did.
I started with a piece of Whisper White and used the sponge daubers to apply color to my card stock. Once I had that done I randomly stamped various leaves from the Lighthearted Leaves set in Early Espresso and then used the Leaflit Framelits dies to cut them out and I was left with something like this...
My result....these next to photos.

I love the way they came out. Just a nice variegated look. I hope you enjoyed this weeks challenge and I extend the challenge to you to take these colors and go create something.
I also ask that you take the time to go visit my Friend and challenge buddy
Terri over at her Stamp Vault Blog
Have a great week, Thank You for stopping by and please be sure to check back often to see what I'm up to.

So Grateful

Happy Tuesday!
I don't know about you but my Monday was busy busy. I did manage to get some things done that needed attention so I guess that part was good.

For todays post I again went to the leaves, but I tried to give them a bit of a different look. I have been seeing a lot of fun cards made with this set Lighthearted Leaves. It's really nice when a set like this can be so versitile.

I used a base of Whisper white and then placed a square of Rich Razzleberry at the top. I then cut panels in Whisper White to stamp my leaves on in Rich Razzleberry This is a very Monochromatic style card. I added a touch of bling to really make it POP.
I must appoligize for me photo...I had to use my phone because my Ipad got a work out today and is now resting LOL

Hope your day is Fabulous, don't forget to stop by tomorrow for another Broke Stampers Unite post! We'll be using a fun color combo don't want to miss it. Take care and Thank You for stopping by.

Toxic Halloween

Happy Monday!!!So here's the final card in my little set challenge. What am I talking about?? Go read Saturdays post. LOL

Here i used a base of Very Vanilla and some more DSP from Happy Hauntings pack. This time i stamped the little bottles and fussy cut them. I used the Happy Happy Halloween stamp and my stampin write marker and just pulled off what words I wanted from the stamp, cut them out and they worked nicely. I added a lil ribbon bow made from the stitched satin ribbon in Basic Black. Pretty quick card but I think this one is my favorite of the three.

So Just a quick revisit of the three cards all together and the main products I used. It's a really cute set and I'm sure it will make some fun treat bags this year.
Hope you enjoyed following along with this I had fun making them. Be sure to swing by Wednesday for another Broke Stampers Unite blog post. We have a fun color challenge for you. Have a great work week, and as always THANK YOU so much for stopping by.

Happy Halloween

Alright well day two of my Sweet Hauntings challenge. If you visited yesterdays post then you know what I'm talking about if not, well go read yesterdays post LOL

I used a base of Rich Razzleberry and embossed it with the Large Polka Dot textured impressions embossing folder. I stamped my image on Very Vanilla card stock in Wild Wasabi I then pulled a couple stamps in from Thankful Forest Friends and Peaceful Pines sets to build my little borders on the top and bottom of my image. I used a strip of left over DSP from the Happy Hauntings DSP pack and added some Happy Hauntings washi tape. I used a half doily from the Spider Web doily pack for some background interest, and topped it with some Smokey Slate bakers twine. So what do you think???  Not too bad. Come back tomorrow for the final card in this set. Have a relaxing Sunday everyone.

Something Sweet????

Good Saturday Morning to you. I decided to challenge myself to using this stamp set Sweet Hauntings since I accidentally ordered it. Well it wasn't actually an accident, I loved the little potion bottles and because of that I failed to notice anything beyond those, if you look close it's sort of a sweet treats type set. One you would probably use for little treat bags or boxes. Not necessarily card making....so I was determind to make cards with it anyway. LOL So these next three days I'm going to share with you a card a day of what I came up with, sort of on the fly by the way, because I'm having visitors this weekend so I needed to preplan bwhahahahahaha yea I don't preplan anything ...so well procrastinator that I am I'm doing these last minute because they will be here in a short couple hours.

ANYWAY

Here is one of the cards I made.......I used a base of Tangelo Twist card stock and added some DSP from the Happy Hauntings pack. Again the old standby.....Cut Flip and ADD a strip. so at least you get to use and see both sides of this really cool DSP. I then layered a bit of Very Vanilla card stock with a some Rich Razzleberry. I stamped the bottles in Rich Razzleberry, Wild Wasabi and Tangelo Twist inks. I think this is a great Halloween color combo by the way. I then stamped the sentiment in Basic Black on Very Vanilla and used some Dimensionals behind it. Added some blackberry bliss bakers twine to finish it off. So that's my card for today....be sure to check back tomorrow and Monday for the other two.Hope you a great weekend.

It's Sketch Frenzy Friday

Happy Friday Everyone!
Yaaaaay it's time for another Sketch Frenzy Friday Post. This weeks sketch come's from my good friend and stampin buddy Terri T
I admit it,  I grumbled a lot about this sketch. This really didn't strike my creativity bone. BUT, the more I played around with it the more I warmed up to it.

I knew I wanted to use the Peaceful Pines stamp set and framelits. I knew there wasn't really a second smaller element that came with this set but I didn't care....LOL I wanted to use this set! hahahaha This is what i came up with.

I used a base of Real Red and added a layer of DSP from the Merry Moments stack. I love love love this plaid pattern. I then made a banner with the Banner Triple punch another piece of DSP from the same stack. Love the way the stacks coordinate...you can't go wrong using the papers in them together. I then made another banner of Whisper White added some hand drawn doodle lines around it I stamped the tree image in Mossy Meadow and cut it out with the matching framelit added a star stamped in Daffoldil Delight. Used the little snowflake stamp in the set to add a lil something to the background, I added a touch of ribbon to the top of the tag to finish off the card.

Hope you enjoy my interpretation of this week sketch.Remember we encourage you to play along with us and make a card with this sketch. You can post it to the Sketch Frenzy blog with the link you'll find at the bottom of the main post HERE
Have a great week everyone. Thank You for stopping by.

Thankful For You

Here's a quick card made with the Thankful Forest Friends stamp set. I love the little critters in this set. I used a base of Old Olive card stock then embossed a piece of Whisper White with the Woodlands Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I then added a strip of  Into The Woods designer series paper. I used a contraband set of label dies for the layers and added a couple leaves from the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set and leaflet framelits. Hope you enjoy today's card...be sure to swing by tomorrow for my SFF blog post. Have a great day everyone. The weekend is almost here.

Broke Stampers Unite Weekly Challenge

Welcome to another episode of  Broke Stampers Unite Weekly Challenge. This weeks topic is Inlay Technique.I had been seeing others do this occasionally and found it a really cool effect.  I played around a bit with it and watched a video. Basically you are die cutting out the image with a framelit or thinlit style die and replacing it or" inlaying it" with another cut of the same die usually in a different color but not always. In  the case of my tries I did the leaves in the green card below by cutting the die out of the Mossy Meadow card stock and then replaced them with leaves stamped in the coordinating stamps on white card stock and die cut with the same die. Hence the "inlay" technique. I also, on this card, cut out the Thankful from the green and replaced it with a white version of the same cut. So instead of it sitting or layering on top of the green card layer it is inlaid into the green layer.
( I used Lighthearted Leaves and the coordinating Leaflit framelits dies)

Now in this next card I cut the butterfly shape out of the Melon Mambo base and added a piece of designer series paper to the back of the open space. I then cut out the butterfly again in Mint Macaron glued it in the spot on top of the DSP yet inlaid into the Melon Mambo. I added some bling and a lil sparkle and there ya have it. I fun lil Birthday note sized card.

I hope you've enjoyed this weeks choice of techniques. I know I learned something and got to challenge myself to try something I haven't done before. Now go forth and give it a try. Don't forget to check out my friend Terri's blog and see what she came up with this week for this technique. Thank You for stopping by and hope you have a great day. Besure to check back as I am also challenging myself to a daily blog post of my stamping creations.

Thinking of You

I must admit I came home from work today and Terry was already cooking. He made some yummy smoked ribs for us as well as a salad. Had done the shopping. So we ended up just hanging out and enjoying our day. Had a lil pool time, watched a bit of TV took a cat nap and had dinner. Then we started on the video games......next thing I knew it was very late in the evening and I hadn't stamped a thing. All in all we had a nice Labor Day holiday. So you get a TBT card today. ( throw back Tuesday) lol it's a lovely card I may or may not have shared earlier this year sometime. Base is Mossy Meadow card stock and ink with some Calypso Coral thrown in. I used Flower Shop and Kinda Eclectic stamp sets, as well as Crazy About You stamps and thinlits for the sentiment. I was really happy with this color combo. I really loved the way this card came out. Hope you enjoy this Throw Back and remember these stamps and thinlits I used are all still available for purchase. Have a great Tuesday!!! Remember to come back tomorrow for another 2 Broke Stampers Post. We are featuring a technique you are going to want to try out!!

Daily Post Challenge

Yes I'm back to the Lighthearted Leaves. Have I mentioned I love this set?? I dug a little deeper and pulled out this pattern of DSP from the Into The Woods paper pack. I really like the daffodil leaf pattern. .
On the first card I used a layer of that and framed it in Basic Black card stock layered on a base of daffodil delight. I then repeat stamped the leaf in Basic Black on Whisper White cards stock. Then colored them in with Daffodil Delight ink. Added the sentiment in Basic Black. Love the clean look of this card. For second card I used a base of Early Espresso card stock then I did the cut, flip and add a strip with the same DSP aren't both sides of this paper just wonderful? For my strip I used a length of Pumpkin Pie cotton ribbon. I stamped the leaf in Basic Black on Pumpkin Pie card stock used the leaflits framelits dies to cut it out. I then touched it up with the Stampin Chalk Marker. To give it that white on dark effect. It looks good at a distance but close up looks a lil rough. Might have to try that again and be a lil more careful. But I'm still happy with it. I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso and used dimensionals to pop it up a bit.

Thank You for stopping by. Hope you enjoy today's post, and I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Now go stamp something! :)

Daily Post Challenge

Well today's post has kind of a funny story to it. I spent the day getting ready for a different challenge. Tried real hard to come up with a card using a specific technique. Got it done....wasn't very happy with it but it will do. Moved on. Completely ended up accidentally making a card with that technique while trying to come up with today's card. Hahahaha ugh now I have to make yet another card because I can't reveal that technique yet. So by this time I'm distracted by other things. So today's post is just a cute lil note card. Nothing fancy just simple small and pretty. But it's a post right??? This daily posting can get tough. But it's been fun and it keeps me stamping as well as looking ahead to my next card. Hope you enjoy your Sunday. I'm off to work for a few hours then it will be a relaxing day for me. Thinking about trying last weeks Mojo Monday challenge. For tomorrow. Hmm Have a great Sunday!

Peace Be With You

Hello fellow stampers, who's ready for a long weekend??? Anyone stamping this weekend??? I will be to keep up with my daily challenge of posting to my blog. So I sat here for a while trying to decide what to stamp and I found myself  once again drawn to this set. Reason For The Season from the Holiday Catalog. I'm also still playing with retired DSP because well, I can, and I'm still waiting on my last catalog order that has the lovely current DSP on it.

I started with a base of Sahara Sand card stock. I then added my chosen DSP cut it to layer nicely on the base and then 3/4 cut the DSP, flipped the bottom piece over and glued them down. Giving me a nice coordinated layout. I stamped the poinsettia in Basic Black and the two step filler piece in Cherry Cobbler. The leaves were stamped in Garden Green. I fussy cut the flower out so I could pop it up with dimensionals. I then stamped the sentiment in Garden Green. I added a strip of retired chevron ribbon at my seam of DSP for a nice finished look. Layered my flower, added some pearls to the center and there ya go. I do hope you enjoy today's submission. I was pretty happy with the way it came out.
Pleas feel free to comment on it and let me know you're out there!! :) hope your Saturday is a good one. Come back tomorrow to see what I'm up to.
Hello Stampers,
How was your week? Mine was pretty good.
Things seem to be settling down for me and more rutine like.
I do better with a rutine. This weeks Sketch Frenzy Friday post
is actually a sketch that I put together. No reinventing the wheel or anything
but a nice layered sketch.

So I was planning a much more FALL style card but ended up taking it a whole different color direction from your traditional, what I think, as FALL. Ready?? here it is.....

I pulled out the Go Wild DSP stack and decided I wanted to do that color pallet.
I started with a base of Basic Black layered some DSP from the Go Wild stack like I said and then another layer of Basic Black. I layered a square of Tip Top Taupe with Whisper White then stamped my tree base in Basic Black ink with the leaves in Tip Top Taupe. The sentiment was also stamped in Tip Top Taupe and I layered a strip of  Tip Top Taupe lace trim behind my sentiment strip to peek out the bottom. I added a few Rhinestone Jewel Basics and there ya have it.

Don't forget to play along with us this week.
You'll find a link at the bottom of the SFF blog HERE
where you can add your creation of this weeks sketch.
Have a weekend everyone and Thank You for stopping by.

Lighthearted Leaves

I'm really loving this set!! I just love the whimsical look to it and it's such a great set for fall themed cards. Even the sentiments are great. Here's my personal daily blog post challenge. It's kind of late in the day but I admit I was busy and almost forgot. :)

I started with a base of old olive, layered it with a bit of tangelo twist. I stamped the background also in tangelo twist. Stamped the leaf in basic black and colored it in with Stampin write markers. Again the versatility of this set allows you to stamp in a single color or to color it in whether it be a little, just a touch here or there, or a lot like I did in this one. Really did I mention I love this set??? No really I do. Where was I??? Oh right, cut the leaf out using the leaflets framelits dies. Added my sentiment on a block of whisper white in old olive ink.

Hope you enjoy today's post and if you fall in love with this set like I do remember you can always order it through me so you can play too. ;)
Have a great day......and come back tomorrow for our SFF POST of the week.

2 Broke Stampers

 Hello my stamping friends,
A good friend and I have decided to challenge each other with a weekly blog post. We are calling ourselves 2 Broke Stampers. Today's post is the start of that challenge. We have agreed that our first challenge would be to showcase a few cards using stamps from the new Holiday Catalog that was released yesterday September 1st.  There's a link on the right of this post if you haven't had the chance to view the great products in it.
I will start by saying all products are Stampin Up! though some items may no longer be available. (we need to have a chance to use up those retired embellishments). But the stamps themselves will all be current.

I'll begin with a quick look at all the cards I chose. I may not always have this many at once but I do enjoy doing sets of five cards and there's just so many sets in the Holiday catalog that I really like. It was hard for me to choose just a couple.

Pretty cool right?? I'm really excited about these great sets.
Now to go through them one by one......

This card is was made using the Thankful Forest Friends set, as well as the new Into The Woods designer series paper pack. The lil fox is just adorable. I added some texture with the new Woodland Texture Impressions Embossing Folder. Love it! This set is one of my favorites mostly due to the next lil forest friend.....
Look at this lil bear! OMG he's so stinkin cute! No really. So both of these cards are made with pretty much the same ingredients. Except the first uses the into the woods cotton ribbon, and the second uses the Happy Haunting Designer Washi Tape.

Fall really is my favorite time of year, not sure why but has always been. Probably because of all the beautiful hues of the changing color pallet.

This card was made using the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set. You have got to check out this set. Pair it with the Leaflets Framelits dies and you have one of the most amazing sets for all of Fall. I also introduced you to the into the woods elements pack. Those wooden leaves as well as some of the other shapes in the pack are a great addition to your cards. Nice finishing touch. Okay moving on...this post is getting long and I'm still not finished with what i want to share LOL

Now these fun trees are from the Peaceful Pines stamp set and the matching Perfect Pines Framelits Dies. You can get these in a bundle and you save 15%. They really go hand in hand. Holiday must have. Def need to check them out.

The last card I'm sharing today is from the Reason For The Season set. This was the first time I put this set to ink.....still bonding with it but I think I'm going to have a lot of fun with this set. (Now can you tell why I had so many cards today??? I just couldn't decide). This catalog is FULL of some really great products. Make sure you peruse it. You won't be disappointed. Whew, okat well I think that about does it for this post. I hope you have enjoyed my mini tour of the wonderful sets available this year in the Holiday Catalog. besure to be checking back often for these wonderful challenge posts. Remember it's a weekly challenge so I'll have a new one posted every Wednesday Morning. Thank You so much for stopping by and I promise my future post won't be so long hahahaha.

If you'd like to hop over to my friend Terri Tanks Blog you'll find her post HERE
