Daily post Challenge

Ok well I let this day slip away on me without getting a post up....well ALMOST. This is a card I posted a few days ago on my Instagram page. I'm going to cheat and use it here also. It's a great card and a fun set. It's called Joyful Season and it's a set that is being released tomorrow in the Stampin Up Holiday Catalog. The base is done with Old Olive and I used some retired DSP for the plaid background. I stamped the sentiment in Basic Black on Cherry Cobbler card stock. The cardinal is a two step stamping style so this lil guy goes together quick without coloring by hand. Yaaaaay it's my favorite style of stamping. Hope you enjoy this card. And even though it's 9:25 pm I still got a post up today :)

BRIGHT AND POPPIN BIRTHDAY SWAP

This year at VC I hosted a Birthday Swap. Now that everyone has pretty much gotten their cards back I can post what lovely creations these ladies came up with. I had seven players and they all did a fabulous job. Thank You ladies for playing a long with me in the swap.

Little Moments

So I was talking to friend yesterday and I was saying how addicted to stamping I am ( and have been for years) and how I stamp pretty much every day!! Her response was....
" If you stamp every day, why don't you post to your blog every day???" Hmm good question. But probably because I have a tendency to post more on Instagram than anything because it's easy and I don't have to type a lot lol. I'm working on being more diligent with my blog postings. Over the last year I have at least committed to posting every Friday for the Sketch Frenzy Friday Blog. Yes I slipped a bit here and there but usually make the post. So now I'm going to challenge myself and my friend to post more regularly. Maybe not EVERYDAY but def more often. This was a card I was playing with last night. I was inspired from my friend Terri She posted a cute fall card using this same sketch. I had to try out this one for myself.

I used the Watercolor Wings stamp set and some DSP from the Go Wild stack. Cherry Cobbler for the card base a strip of Basic Black. Stamped my image in Cherry Cobbler and Basic Black. I added a couple candy dots in Whisper White as well as some white bakers twine. Just a fun clean sketch.
Thank You Terri for the inspiration and I hope this prompts you to give it a try also. If you do, leave me a comment and a link to your blog. So I can enjoy yours also.  Ok time to get stampin. Thanks for stopping by.
Hello and Welcome to this weeks Sketch Frenzy Friday post. This weeks sketch comes from Jenny. It's a nice clean sketch. I like my cards nice I simple and clean so this was a good sketch for me.
I chose to play with a set from the Annual catalog called Vintage Leaves. I started by using a square punch and punching out my Very Vanilla pieces I then layered them with some Tangerine Tango card stock. I laid the four squares of vanilla together and stamped the leaf in Tangerine Tango. I then seperated the squares layered the Tangerine Tango squares behind and then placed them on a layer of DSP from the Into The Woods pack from the Holiday Catalog. Set it all on a base of Tangerine Tango added a bow of Early Espresso cotton ribbon. Stamped my sentiment in Early Espresso and popped it up with Dimensionals.
Hope you enjoy this weeks creation. Be sure to play along with us by creating your own version of this sketch and posting it to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog Here

Be sure to check back again you never know what  I could be up to! LOL

Well the time has come for our last VC ROCKS blog hop of this year. The theme this time around is Celebrating our VC Rocks Friendships.
What a fun topic. I have ventured in and out of the group as my life changes and time permits but over the years I've made a lot of fun and lasting relationships with many of the ladies on this group. As things wind down and we head into the busy bustling time of year we say goodbye as a group but continue many of our friendships on our Facebook pages so it's kind of goodbye but not really. There in shows what great friendships we've made over the years. VC may be coming to a close for this year but our friendships continue on and on. Hope everyone has enjoyed VC this year and hope to see you all back again. Here's my Friend themed card.

I started with a base of Marina Mist added a layer of Whisper White stamped the flower bunch from the Awesomely Artistic set in Marina Mist ink touched it in with an aqua painter and Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz and a bit of Calypso Coral ink. I added a small strip of DSP from the Pretty Petals DSP stack and embossed a piece of Pink Pirouette with the Happy Heart Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I stamped the nameplate piece in Marina Mist and added the sentiment with Pink Pirouette. Hope you enjoy the Blog Hop and Thank You for stopping by.
Welcome to this weeks Sketch Frenzy Friday post. This weeks sketch is from Kim Innis

This was a bit of a challenge for me. For some reason I was having trouble getting my thoughts together on this sketch. I had tried several different options but couldn't come up with something I liked. So I ended up stepping away from it for a while and when I came back it all came together. Crazy right? Do you ever do that?? It's like I was over thinking or trying too hard. I just needed that lil break and viola it all came together.

I chose a Halloween theme this week. Just had to get those new stamps inky. This is a really cute set but is mostly designed for treats and such. I don't know why I didn't zone into that when I ordered it but well I guess I just need to work with what I have right? LOL I even made the mistake on this set when I ordered and chose the wood blocks by accident. SMH hahaha anyway...I came up with this lovely card that makes you think I may be out to defile some peoples treats :)  I'm really not. I like treats...yummy treats! ANYWAY back to biz.....I used a card base of Pumpkin pie card stock and some of the new DSP from the Holiday Catalog called Happy Hauntings. I snuck in a fun spider web doily also from the new Holiday Catalog. Finished it off with some Basic Black Stitched Satin ribbon once I got it all finished and I was happy with it I showed it to Terry and he said i should have stamped the bottles in green and Eggplant. UGH thanks babe. Maybe next time hahahahaha

So if you want to play along with us this week you are welcome to. The link is on the SFF blog HERE at the bottom of this weeks post. Have a great week and Thank You for stopping by.

Thankful for You

Here's a fun card I made after watching someone's YouTube video ( I know I'm bad because I don't remember where I found it) on a direct to paper technique. I really like DTP projects because there's such a great look without the clean up lol. I used Marina Mist and Wild Wasabi for the background by just tapping and sliding the ink pad right to the card stock until I was happy with the look. I then used Early Espresso ink to stamp the tree in and a bit of Cucumber Crush for the leaves. Just had to drop that swing in there also with EE. Added a length of EE cotton ribbon stamped the sentiment and done!!! Great card for a quick project. Hope you enjoy.....let me know what you think in the comments. Thanks for stopping by.

Grateful For You card

Another fun card using Vintage Leaves and the Leaflet Framelits. Really enjoying this stamp set. I love all the textures represented here.

Vintage Leaves

Another card done with the Vintage Leaves stamp set and Thinlits. ( sentiment is from Lighthearted Leaves stamp set coming in September)

Sketch Frenzy Friday

Hello stammers and welcome to this weeks SFF post. Today's card was made using the new Lighthearted Leaves and framelits. The stamp set is a new one that will be featured in the the Holiday Catalog this year. ( available September 1 ) I stamped all three leaves and then used a blending tool to rub in some background color. Then dotting them out with the matching framelits from the Annual Catalog. I layered them and added a lil bit of gold sequin ribbon and a fun wood element also from the Holiday Catalog. Love how this turned out. I'm thinking the leaves will probably replace all those beautiful butterflies for a while this fall. Or I may figure out a way to incorporate both lol. Hope you enjoy this weeks sketch submission. And don't forget to play along. The link is at the bottom of this weeks post on the SFF blog. Have a great week! :)

LEAVES!!

Falling into Fall with these fun stamp sets. Vintage Leaves available now with framelits in a bundle from the annual catalog. And then the fun lighthearted leaves from the Holiday catalog using the same leaf framelits.

Holiday Catalog Sneak Peek

Well I received my Holiday pre order on Monday and have had a chance to play a little with some of the new stamps... I'm pretty sure that lil bear is going to be my season fav. He's just so cute! The leaves are from vintage leave stamp set from the Annual Catalog. But I just got them. Really going to love these thought the fall season. I'm sure you'll get to see a lot from me of this set.

Hello and Welcome to this weeks Sketch Frenzy Friday post. This weeks sketch is actually one that I created. See below...

It's a pretty basic sketch and I'm really liking the clean look. So in my submission I didn't stray to far from the sketch itself.

I used a base of Blushing Bride with a half strip of English Garden DSP. I added a length of Blushing Bride 1/4 in cotton ribbon at the seam. Layered my sentiment block with Melon Mambo and Whisper White card stock, and stamped my sentiment in Mossy Meadow. I stamped the butterfly from Watercolor Wings stamp set in Blushing Bride and Mossy Meadow, stamped the images off to get the variated shades. Simple but sweet.

Thank you for stopping by this week, don't forget you can always play along with us and submit your creation to the Sketch Frenzy Friday Blog HERE  thelink to add your creation is at the bottom so come join us! Until next week hope you have a great one!
