3D, Botanical Blooms, Botanical Builder Framelits, Botanical Gardens DSP, Botanicals For You No comments
Hello Everbody! LOL How was your Christmas? Mine was fun but slightly exhausting. I had a houseful and still had to work each early morning so late late nights and early early mornings make for a very tired me. LOL But the goodnews I get a day off tomorrow. so the couch and movies sound really good for a Thursday! I am looking forward to the new year and all the upcoming goodies that are on the way.
This weeks BSU Challenge is a bonus week, or 5th week if you will so its time for a 3D project. I chose to finally make a one of these ever popular box bags. The first video I look at when searching had this rather large sized bag so I decided to roll with it. my finished size I believe is 6x5ish. I'm not going to go into the how to's of this box bag because you can easily do a video search on youtube and get several different versions and sizes so I'll leave that to you to choose. I did use the Fun and up and coming Botanicals goodies from the new Occassions Catty and the 2016 Sale a Bration catty so drool over these products and know they will be available starting January 5th. Theres a combination of products used here. I started with the DSP called Botanical Gardens. I used Cajun Craze for my base and handles. I then cut out some flowers using the Botanical Builder Framelits and Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey and Whisper White card stocks. For my sentiment I used a stamp from the Botanicals For You set which is a Sale A Bration set, so I got it for free....Wooo Hoooo. You may notice some non SU contraband in the leaf shape brads but I liked how tey went so I used them ;) One other item that was used here was the triple banner punch for the sentiment tag. Hope you enjoy this project. It was def a learning experience for me LOL

Peaceful Pines, Perfect Pines Framelits No comments
Hello, it's time for another BSU challenge. What a week, well for that matter what a month. It's been a strange month for me. Many Ups and Downs, dealing with joys and losses, but on a good note it's almost over so yaaaaaay!! I'm ready for the new year.....I'm ready to leap forward and embrace all the new stamps and things coming up for the next few months. But first I must get through the next couple weeks lol.
This week we are featuring a stamp set. Peaceful Pines or Festival of Trees. I chose Peaceful Pines. I started with a base of Whisper White. I added a strip of DSP from the Merry Moments stack. This has been a really fun stack. I've loved using the great patterns in this. Okay I added a knot of woven satin ribbon in Real Red. I then stamped my trees in Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive ink and cut them out with the Perfect Pines framelits. Popped them up with dimensionals and arranged them at the bottom of my card. I stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler as well. I finished with a few candy dots at the top left. This set is really nice and I like all the different tree style options.
So there ya have it! Now go see what Terri and Stace have come up with this week. You can hop over to our Facebook page and even try out the challenge yourself! Have a great week......I've already started trying to work out my project for next week! But my house is about to explode with the sounds of 3 boys.........so weLl see how far I get lol.

Peaceful Pines, Reason for the Season, Sheltering Tree 1 comment
Hello and welcome to this weeks Broke Stampers Unite Challenge. This week the challenge is Fancy Folds.....and let me tell you for me it's a challenge lol. I love straight stamping, not too many layers, clean and simple. Fancy Folds give me the hives lol. But I did manage to pull off a double gate fold....I think that's what they call this lol. Above is the card closed, below is the card open
It took me only three stamp sets to accomplish this. I used Peaceful Pines and the matching dies, Reason for the season for the sentiment, and Sheltering tree for the ground effects. I used Garden green for the card base and the trees. Sahara sand for the ground and Cherry Cobbler for the sentiments, the gift, some lights and ornaments. I also threw in some Crushed Curry for the stars. I used a velcro dot to keep the card closed...see I told you I wasn't very good at this fold stuff... I added a bit of bling and some silver 1/8 inch trim. Hope this qualifies for this challenge. Be sure to check out our Facebook group and become a member if you enjoy these challenges. You can play along each week by adding your version of the challege to the posted album for that week. Here's the link for our FB page Broke Stampers Challenges Thanks for stopping by this week. Be sure to check back often. Have a great week and Happy Stamping.

Festival Of Trees, Reason for the Season No comments
It's time for another Broke Stampers Unite challenge. This weeks theme is Winter/Christmas
I played around with a few ideas and decided to go with some non traditional colors. So I pulled out come Rose Red, Blushing Bride, and Crumb Cake cardstock. Paired that with with some Very Vanilla and below is what I came up with. The stamp sets I used are Festival Of Trees and Reason for the Season
I really like the way these came out. On the bottom one I added some Pear Pizzazz for the leaves and sentiment. I included a bunch of bling to spice them up. I just love the way the bling adds so much.
Hope you decide to join us and play along with this weeks challenge. If you don't have these stamp set no worries, try it out with different stamps. Just Winter/Christmas is your only requirement. We have started a facebook page here and you can now add your versions of the weekly challenge to the posted album for that week.
A couple of Christmas Cards
I was tooling about the house the other day with my family here visiting and was able to steal away and make a couple cards. I'm not sure yet what happened to November.....I seemed to be off kilter all month. Hoping to head into December with a better drive. Hope you enjoy these cards....Thanks for stopping by.

BSU, Sheltering Tree 1 comment
Hello and welcome to another Broke Stampers Unite post!! This week we are featuring a stamp set. The stamp set is called Sheltering Tree. This week I layered a base of garden green with a layer of Sahara Sand. I then added a layer of whisper white and stamped the tree base in Sahara sand the middle image is full strength the other two are stamped off to give a faded into the background look. I then stamped the grass in garden green and did multiples of stamping off. I also stamped my sentiment in garden green at full strength. I used a length of retired pear pizzazz chevron ribbon. Below you will find other cards I have previous made with this set. Just showing the versatility of it. Hope you enjoy this weeks stamp set. If you don't have it I'd suggest getting it. You can do so much with it,

Bokeh, Thoughts and Prayers 1 comment
Hello and welcome to this weeks BSU challenge. This week we are featuring a technique. The Bokeh Technique. This was way new to me....! I had to research it and look it up for how to's. BUT, I found an easy tutorial and faked my way through it. Then today I found out that one of my Fellow BSU members has actually already done a really good tutorial and I'm going to share that link HERE Yes yes....Miss Stace has done a great job explaining this fun technique. Check it out! She makes it so easy. So without any more delays........here is my card.......
I was really happy with the results. Its a fun effect and a way different look for me. Not sure that I would do it a lot but I'm a lazy broke stamper and well I have my go to's that are much cleaner. But it was fun to stretch out of my comfort zone if ever so breifly. I used Thoughts and Prayers stamp set and Soft Suede, Delightful Dijon, Mossy Meadow, Tangelo Twist, Early Espresso and then Whisper White craft ink for the spots. If you haven't yet, then give this technique a try. Also...be sure to hop over to Terri and Stace blog and see what they came up with this week.
Have a great week everyone and Thank You for stopping by.
BSU.....yes I'm a lil late......
Broke Stampers Unite....this weeks theme is Thankful/Grateful.
I love sheltering tree. This stamp set is pretty flexible when it comes to a varied look. I stamped the tree in Early Espresso and then the leaves I stamped in Crushed Curry then tapped in some Tangelo Twist and Early Espresso. I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso. I then took a strip of Into The Woods DSP and did a cut and flip for the two patterns. I added a length of Daffolid Delight cotton ribbon for a finishing trim.
This time of year has started to get really busy for me. I had a day off and planned on stamping but ended up cutting out wood shapes and painting right up until I headed to bed. Oh well I've been wanting to get some of this stuff done and so I guess now is better than never.
More Market Fresh
Here's a couple more I was meaning to send all weekend long but my lil goblins were here and well I never had a chance lol
Market Fresh
Here's another card made with the Market Fresh stamp set. I pulled out the matching DSP called Farmers Market and it has this really cool wood grain print. LOVE IT! I used a base of Soft Suede and a panel of the DSP I used a square of Whisper White to stamp my image in Basic Black. I colored it in with the retired Blendabilities markers. (I need to use them before they dry up) lol. Layered that on a square of Cherry Cobbler. I then added a bit of Mossy Meadow stitched satin ribbon. ( also retired contraband). I was really sad to see this ribbon retire.
I know get over it right??? Hahaha but I need to use it up so there ya go.
Thank you for stopping by, and hope you are feeling blessed.

Thank you for stopping by, and hope you are feeling blessed.
Thoughts and Prayers
I finally broke down and ordered a sympathy style set. I liked this one for its versatility, and it comes with a lot of sayings and sentiments. I like that. I can also use the tree or the flower stem for other non sympathy style cards by just changing up the sentiments. I'm all about getting the most from one set.
I started with a base of Cherry Cobbler, and added a touch of DSP from the in color stack. I then used a ribbon from the same matching in colors. Delightful Dijon. I stamped the background in Tangelo Twist and the tree and sentiment in Blackberry Bliss.
I hope you enjoy today's post. If you don't have this set I would highly suggest it.
I'm excited to see what else I can come up with using this set. Have a great day and Thank You for stopping by.

Broke Stampers Unite
Hello and Welcome to another posting for the Broke Stampers Unite.
This week we are featuring a stamp set. The chosen stamp set is Wonderous Wreath. This set is in the current annual catalog. It debuted as a very popular set in the 2014 Holiday catalog. I fell in love with it back then and have to say it's still a favorite for me, and the matching framelits, are such a great bundle.
I used a base of Mossy Meadow and a few pieces of DSP from the Merry Moments stack. I stamped the wreath in Mossy Meadow, then stamped the accent leaves in versamark and heat embossed them in gold. Gives it a lil pop of glitz though it's hard to tell in this picture. I finished it off with some sadly retired Mossy Meadow stitched satin ribbon.
So that's my card for this week. I have been crazy busy and fighting a bug this last week so I've only posted the one card. Hope this next week is a lil better. It seems this time of year always gets bustling for me, and I find myself running about way more than I like. Lol.
Be sure to hop over to Terri and Stace blogs and see what they came up with for this set. Take care

Here's a card I did for my last Sketch Frenzy Friday.
I have sadly decided to move on from their design team. It was a fun year of weekly sketch challenges. But it was time.
I didn't get this set from the Holiday Catalog, but my friend Terri was nice enough to share with me some images from this cute set that I probably should have gotten lol. So the next few posts that I plan on doing will be using these images. Thank you so much for stopping by. Come back soon!!! I'm always adding something new.

Dragonfly
Happy Sunday....
I was playing around with different looks and this one came out! It wasn't good for what I was needing at the time but I thought it would make a nice daily post submission. It's all straight forward stamping. I used a bit of marker on the background flower, then I used markers for the dragonfly. Sorry for the short post......I'm running on a crazy schedule now so time to get things done has been a challenge in itself. It would be easy to just not post for a day or two but I'm trying really hard to stay on my commitment of daily submissions. Hope you enjoy. Thank You for stopping by.
Thanks
Hello and happy Saturday hope you are having a good weekend. For today's card I was playing with the set called Awesomely Artistic. This is a fun versatile set. It only comes with one word stamp. But when combined with a greeting set you have so many possibilities to make all sorts of any occasion cards. For the base here I used very vanilla card stock. I stamped with pacific point, calypso coral, mint macaron and old olive. The idea was to keep it clean and simple so I just did a bit of cluster stamping. I stamped the circle and the dragonfly and then fussy cut them out and popped them up with dimensionals.
Hope you enjoy today's card and I hope it inspires you to get stamping!! Thanks for stopping by. Have a fabulous weekend.

Festival Of Trees, Large Polka Dot Folder No comments
Hello and welcome to another Sketch Frenzy Friday post. I failed to track down the photo of the sketch but I can tell you that I followed it to a T lol. So I think you can figure it out. I used crumb cake for the base and the large dots embossing folder ...one of my favs. I pulled out my Merry Moments DSP for the circle and the back stripe. I used the note tag punch and layered a tree from the Festival Of Trees stamp sets that I cut out with the matching framelits. I added a bit of smokey slate bakers twine for the bow. It's a fun sketch from Diana ...... So easy to play along with us and create your own version. If you do be sure to add it to the SFF blog. There's a link at the bottom of this weeks post. I love seeing what others come up with. So join us!!! Have a great weekend...Thank you for stopping by!!!

Crazy About You, Sheltering Tree No comments
This was another card from the color combo discussion. Smokey Slate and Elegant Eggplant and Whisper White. I used Sheltering Tree stamp set and the Crazy About You set for the sentiment. I found a small bird from a different set and I remember not which one lol. I used a length of smokey slate bakers twine to finish it off.
It's a pretty combo. My photo doesn't quite show the eggplant color very well. Sorry about that.
Hope you enjoy today's card!! Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by.

Broke Stampers Unite
Welcome to this weeks edition of Broke Stampers Unite. This weeks topic is Fall or Halloween. I went for more of Halloween. The stamp set I used is called Sweet Hauntings, and again this was a challenge for me because it's not really a traditional Halloween set but more of a treat packaging set. So I have to try or stretch a bit harder to make cards with this. Soooooooo on the first card I used a base of tangerine tango, a strip of elegant eggplant and the Happy Hauntings designer series paper. I also used a spider web doily that I had cut the center out of for a previous project. I punched a circle out of whisper white stamped a toxic stamp and also added another potion bottle from that set. I made the sentiment from cutting apart one of the tag stamps in the set. The other card was made with more happy Hauntings DSP using the cut flip add a strip technique. I then cut the ghosts from another piece of DSP from the same pack, and popped them up with dimensionals. I added the stamped tag for my sentiment making it look like a head stone. On the treat pack I used the envelope punch lard and a piece of 6x6 DSP. I basically made an envelope but left the top open. I put some yummy treats in a cello bag used a ribbon to seal it and added a tag from the same Sweet Hauntings set. Quick and cute!!
Thank you for stopping by. Be sure to head on over to Terri's blog and see what she came up with for this challenge Here.
A lil Kindness
Hello, and Thank You for stopping by. I was on a group discussion on my up lines group talking about favorite color combinations. This combo was suggested and it really stuck out for me. I think because I'm not sure I would have stumbled onto it on my own. Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sky and Elegant Eggplant. So of course I had to stop reading and try it out! It's a pretty combo I think, and it gave me a chance to step away from some classic fall colors. I used the stamp set called Kinda Eclectic. I love the versatility of this set. Hope you enjoy today's offerings. Enjoy your day and try to get in and stamp something!!!
Monday
I have migrated back to the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set again. With this card I used a base of Island Indigo and on a layer of Whisper White I stamped a single leaf repeatedly in Chocolate Chip ink. I then used some Stamp n Write markers......lets just say the whole of the Rich Regals color family and added a touch of color throughout the leaves. I then just stamped my sentiment on a strip of Whisper White and also stamped a different leaf image from the same set in Crushed Curry. I added some rhinestone jewels and there ya go. So today is Monday which for me means Friday. So Im pretty excited about that. Hope you enjoy today's offering. Don't be afraid to leave a comment. It's always nice to hear that I'm not talking to myself all the time. Have a great day Thamk You for visiting.

Butterfly Basics, Butterfly Thinlits, Work Of Art No comments
Good Sunday to you. Hope your weekend is going well. Yesterday I almost forgot that is was World Card Making Day. What was I thinking??? Anyway I jumped in and made some cards even though I was feeling very challenged... Lol.
With this ca d I started with a base of Soft Suede and with some Whisper White I stamped some images from the Work Of Art stamp set. I used Pink Pirouette, Pool Party, So Saffron and Calypso Coral. I cut out the butterfly with the thinlits in gold foil paper and glued it on the front. I then took some gold sequin ribbon and gently pulled the sequins to use as an all over embellishment.
This is not at all what this card started out to be but its funny how well it just takes you where you should go. It was supposed to be a note card and a CASE from Pinterest but, it just took on its own life. Hahaha
Hope you are able to squeeze in some stamping time today. I'm still going to continue to celebrate WCMD and try to get a jump on my week. Take care everyone and Thank You for visiting.

Gorgeous Grunge, Leaflit Framelits, Vintage Leaves No comments
Hello and Happy Saturday
How's your weekend going?? Today's post is made with Vintage Leaves and Leaflits Framelits. On this card I stamped and heat embossed the leaves on Whisper White. I then used sponge daubers and randomly sponged Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, and Early Espresso ink. I then cut them out with the framelits. The black medallion was made by snipping out the inside of the spider web doilies from the holiday catalog. Made the background with Gorgeous Grunge stamp set in Pumpkin Pie. I arranged the leaves and snarled two down and one I used dimensionals on to pop it. Added some Mossy Meadow bakers twine and a jewel rhinestone as well as some dazzling details on the medallion.
Hope you have a wonderful rest of your weekend and Thank You so much for stopping by.

Awesomely Artistic, Joyful Season, Tip Top Taupe 2 comments
Today's post will be short and sweet. I chose to play around with another In- Color called Tip Top Taupe. First card I used the bird from Joyful Season to make a just because type card. I stamped the outline in Soft Suede and the inside in Tip Top Taupe. I used Delightful Dijon for the beak. I then added some DSP and Dotted Lace ribbon in the TTT color. The second card was done with the Awesomely Artistic stamp set and the same DSP this is one of my favorite In-Colors. Have a great day everyone.

Festive Flower Builder Punch, Merry Everything, Reason for the Season, Square Pillow Box Framelits 2 comments
Hello it's Wednesday.......yup that means it time for another Broke Stampers Unite project.
This week we are focusing on 3D projects. So for mine I chose to do a pillow box using the Stampin Up Square Pillow Box Thinlits Dies. Such a cute and easy lil box to put together.
I used Garden Green for the box and then added a belly band of Merry Moments DSP. Love the plaid pattern. I then pulled out the Festive Flower Builder Punch and made a pretty 3D poinsettia using Real Red card stock and Old Olive for the leaves. I punched 8 large leaves stamped with the large veins stamp in the Reason For The Season stamp set for the first layer of the flower and glued them to a punched circle of card stock. I then repeated the process to get a good full result. I used a dimensional between the two layers to really give it the 3D look . I then stamped and punched 8 medium leaves and glued them to a small circle of card stock. and added another dimensional to pop that layer up. I finished with four of the double leaves stamped and punched then layered in the center of the others. I finished off with three candy dots to give my pop of yellow for the center of the flower. I then decided it might be cool to add some wink of stella in white glitter to the tops of the petals. It gave it a fun effect with just a small pop of glitz. I added three of the large leaves punched in Old Olive and stamped in Garden Green. I then made a tag punched with the Note Tag punch and stamped with a greeting from Merry Everything stamp set and tied on with a bit of silver 1/8 in Ribbon.

Have a great day Thank You again for following along. Now go play in some ink! :)

Crazy About You, Cucumber Crush, Gorgeous Grunge, Petal Potpourri, Petite Petal Punch, Petite Petals No comments
Hello and good day,
Todays post is all about Cucumber Crush. This is one of the In-Colors for 2015-17. I decided to take it for a spin and focus on just this color. It's such a pretty shade of green. With the ink color, the card stock color, the beautiful dotted lace ribbon (that I just finally broke out by the way....gasp!) why did I wait so long? All in the perfect matching shade it makes it so easy to have fantastic results with your projects. This is also a great shade of green to pair with some Real Red and make stunning Christmas cards. Something to think about. I hope you enjoy this trip to Cucumber Crush. If you haven't tried it out yet I so encourage you to. Have a great day...Thanks for stopping by. Oh yeah...don't forget to stop by tomorrow to see what I came up with for my Broke Stampers Unite post.....It's going to be good!

Warmth and Cheer
Hello, and Thank You for stopping by. Todays post is a bit of an alternative style Christmas card. Just an idea that has been rattling around. I started with a piece of Basic Black card stock and i used the white craft ink pad and rubbed it on the inside of the softly falling TEIF. I placed my card stock inside the folder closed it and then gently rubbed the outside of it, transferring the ink to the card stock. I then stamped the tree from Sheltering Tree and the grass image in versamark ink and sprinkled white embossing powder on it then heat set it. I stamped my sentiment from Joyful Season in Real Red ink on Whisper White card stock. I used a bit of Real Red cotton ribbon and fished with some bling.
I'm happy with the way it turned out. Hope you enjoy it also. Have a great day. Please visit again.

Crazy About You, Gorgeous Grunge, Petite Petal Punch, Petite Petals No comments
Hello and welcome to todays post. This sweet card was inspired by a card I found on Pinterest By Susanne Jordan. I changed it up some but the basics are there. I just love the clean sweet look to this.
I started with a base of Pink Pirouette and stamped the lines from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set in Pink Pirouette. I then added some splatter marks also from the Gorgeous Grunge set in Rose Red. I stamped the flowers from Petite Petals and punch them with the Petite Petal Punch then used dimensionals to make them pop of the page. I stamped the sentiment from the Crazy About You stamp set by building my words to make the greeting. I added some bling because it just brings it all to life! Hope you enjoy todays card.....I thought I would take a break from the fall and holiday style cards. Thank You for stopping by!

Awesomely Artistic No comments
Hello and Happy Saturday,
As the Thunder is rolling this evening and I'm prepping for today's post, I grab for a beautiful flower set. Awesomely Artistic.
I began with a base of Pink Pirouette and with the lovely vellum card stock I used a versamark pad and stamped my image. I then used White embossing powder and heat embossed my image. From the back of the vellum I colored the flowers and leaves with some Wink Of Stella brush pens. This is one of the first times playing with these markers and I have to say they are pretty interesting. I like the effect. I glued the vellum to the card stock and used some Pink Pirouette ribbon to hide my adhesive. I stamped the sentiment and the label in Garden Green and Pink Pirouette ink. I then used some siver cording trim with some dimensionals behind the sentiment to add some interest. Finished it with some bling and there ya go. I love the delicate look of this card. Hope you enjoy todays offering and hope it inspires you to do some stamping. Have a wonderful weekend. Thank You for stopping by!

SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY
Welcome to Sketch Frenzy Friday!!! This weeks sketch comes to us from Kim Innis. This was a challenge for me because I don't really do ovals. I don't have any ovals. Ovals are just not my thing. So I took a bit of creative license and substituted a leaf for an oval. Hmm wasn't sure at first if it would work but I think it worked quite well!!! Hahahaha I started with a base of crumb cake. Layered a crushed curry banner I punched with the banner triple punch. I used foam dobbers to apply ink in crush curry, always artichoke, and cajun craze ink pads. I stamped the leaf in basic black and cut it out with the leaflet framelits. I used the label stamp and friend stamp from awesomely artistic in soft suede and always artichoke. Popped it up with dimensionals and added a Woden leaf element. Hope you enjoy this weeks sketch. Be sure to play along by using the link on the sketch frenzy friday blog. Have a great week......thank you for stopping by.
