Welcome to this weeks Broke Stampers Unite Challenge. This happens to be the fifth Wednesday of the month so we focus on a 3D or ABC (anything but cards) project. I had some dear friends come over today and they showed me how to make this lovely basket. Not bad for my first try. I love the way it has the slatted sides. I have seen these floating around the Internet being made and was really excited to try it out myself. Thank You Darlene for the come to my home tutorial. I know I should probably have posted instructions but well I'm not going to. Instead I'm going to leave a YouTube link on how this was inspired. Here  I then, after making the basket, added some flowers using the Flower Patch stamp set and the matching Flower Fair Framelits from the annual catalog. The colors I used were Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi. The DSP used on the sides came from the Cupcakes and Carousels stack in the Occasions Catalog.

So there you have it. Isn't this just the sweetest lil paper basket?

Hope you enjoy this weeks project. Now head on over to Terri's Blog HERE and Stace's Blog HERE

Have a wonderful week everyone. Thank You for stopping by!

Welcome to this weeks BSU Challenge. I made it....it's been a crazy few days and now due to rain in this ever so dry South Texas town my craziness gets to be prolonged. New windows.......They'll get done eventually. Unfortunately just about every window in my house has a sea of stuff that has to be moved away from it in order for them to do work. Which has made a huge disaster of my set up and normal rutine. Now with it being delayed until next week I still have a mess of misplaced rooms. Ok enough of my whining.....lets get on with it......

This week is our color combination week and the colors we've chosen are...

Pink Pirouette, Crumb Cake, Wisteria Wonder and White

I started with a base of Wisteria Wonder card stock and stamped my cute lil bear from the Baby Bear stamp set in Crumb Cake......Just Crumb Cake. I did this by inking the first of the three layers ink Crumb Cake but stamped it off once before applying to my Whisper White card stock. Then with Layer two of the bear I inked it in Crumb Cake then stamped it off once before applying over the base layer stamp. Doing this made my second image a lil darker than the first even though I stamped them both off once. Then my third layer I inked it in the Crumb Cake but didn't stamp it off. I left it full strength and layered that over the other two. Great effect and great way to get a lot of shades out of one color ink pad. I then used Pink Pirouette on the flower stamp for my sweet background. I pulled that stamp from the Flower Patch set. I finished up my stamping by stamping and cutting out the cute bow that comes with this set using Wisteria Wonder ink. It's a two layer bow so I just stamped both layers at full strength. For my sentiment I punched out a piece of Whisper White using the Tree Builder punch and stamped the Hello Baby greeting in Crumb Cake. I added a small rhinestone to the bow and a bit of White bakers twine for a finishing touch. ( as well as using some dimensionals to pop the sentiment and the bow).

There you have it....this weeks color challange is in the books! Hope you enjoyed this combo....now go make something with it! I want to see what you come up with. You can post it to our facebook page Broke Stampers Unite Challenges we really do love seeing your creations.

Now....hop on over to Terri's blog Here and Stace's blog Here to see what lovely creations they came up with this week.

Have a great week everyone.......

Hello Everybody! Welcome to this weeks Broke Stampers Unite Challenge. This week we are featuring a stampset called Flower Patch. This has been one of my favorite stamp sets. It was nice to pull it out and work with it this week. I sort of put it on the shelf last fall and it was getting a bit dusty. What a nice set for spring flowers.

I used a base of Watermelon Wonder, and i embossed it with the triangles embossing folder. I then added a layer of Watermelon Wonder DSP. I stamped the sentiment in Tip Top Taupe on a peice of Whisper White and used the triple banner punch to get that banner look on the end. I stamped the leaves solid and detail stamps in Mint Macaron. I then stamped the flower in Watermelon Wonder and cut it out with the matching framelits. In the center of the flower I placed one of the white enamel dots and ran a qTip over it with some Mint Macaron. (I still need to updtae my markers) otherwise I would have used that. I stamped the small flower in Tip Top Taupe and finished it all off with a tie of Tip Top Taupe lace ribbon.

Hope you are enjoying our weekly challenges....we are in the planning phase for some upcoming challenges and are open to suggestions on some techniques that maybe you'd like us to feature! There's a post on our Facebook page reguarding this and so please feel free to leave us a suggestion.

As always you can play along with us by making a card featuring this week stamp set and post it to the proper folder on our BSU facebook page. Be sure to hope on over to Terri's Blog HERE and Stace's Blog HERE

A dream.....

I woke up the other morning envisioning a card idea. Well it was more like I was dreaming about making a card. This was the result of that dream and an early morning stamping session. Hope you enjoy.
Welcome to the July Fourth Holiday version of Sketch Frenzy Friday!
This weeks sketch comes from Kim Innis

I sadly noticed I didn't have any stars in my collection of supplies. What The What?? So I needed to get a little creative on my submission. I used the flowers from Flower patch stamp set and created these fun firework like images :) I stamped them in Watercolor Wonder and Pacific Point inks as well as a couple in versamark and using heat and stick powder I covered them with Dazzling Diamonds glitter. (yes I used a heat gun) I say that because it's been a while since I've pulled out the embossing gun .Added a strip of Watermelon Wonder DSP added a sentiment from Crazy about You stamp set and finished with some gold sequin ribbon. Hope you enjoy this little touch of Holiday Flair. Have a great week and we'll see you again next week. Take Care....have a safe fourth and Thank You for stopping by. You can head back to the SFF Blog using the link at the top right!

Be You tiful

This was a fun card using the news print background from MDS I just printed it out trimmed it down and used as my background paper. Stamped the flower in Calypso Coral on the paper and masked it to stamp the leaves in Pear Pizzazz. The splatters are from Gorgeous Grunge stamp set in Calypso Cora, added some candy dots in Pear Pizzazz.

Flower Patch Birthday

Happy

I used the stamp pad direct to paper to get the frame background effect in Crushed Curry. I think this is one of my new fav techniques. I really need to order the pansy punch...the fussy cut thing is getting old! LOL I used a combo of Cherry Cobbler, Crushed Curry, Island Indigo, Garden Green, and Always Artichoke inks. Whisper White, Crushed Curry and Cherry Cobbler card stocks.

Many Thanks

Had a little while to play this evening.

Just playing around

These were a few cards I came up with Saturday while playing around with the Flower Flair Framelits. Just trying to get the hang of them. Had a small learning curve for me lol but I managed to overcome that. The yellow one was done just using the Framelits with pattern paper, no stamping. So alone or with the compatible stamp set Flower Patch, these Framelits give you a lot of versatility. If you would like to purchase these or other Stampin'Up! products then click the order now blinky on the right. Remember you can completely order online if you'd like. I can answer any questions also.

MDS meets CRICUT EXPLORE!

I finally managed to sit down and pair Stampin'Up!'s My Digital Studio with my Cricut Explore Machine! Love the results! I used the Flower Patch digital download to create an iron on design for a T-Shirt. If you would like to see how I made this happen, there is a very BASIC walk thru video posted  Here I'm not set up very well to do vidoes but you should be able to get the gist. Hope this helps you. ;)

Blooming Birthday Card

Cards from the last couple days

Just sharing.

One Sheet stamping.

I started with one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 whisper white card stock. Using the Flower Patch stamp set I randomly stamped images from the set to fill up the page. Once I was happy with it I cut the sheet in half then into 2 in x 5 1/2 in strips. It gave me 8 strips this way.

I then cut card bases in matching colors. I used one sheet of four colors to give me 8 card bases. The colors I used were, wisteria wonder, island indigo, melon mambo, and pink pirouette. Glued my strips to the bases. Stamped and cut a large flower from the same set also in each of the same four colors. I used demensionals to pop the flowers up....added a sentiment again from the same set.

By doing this I have a nice set of 8 cards that I can package as a gift of cards for someone. Thanks for reading. Please leave a comment ;)
