Hello....hope your week was a good one. I did a lot of relaxing. It was Sunday before I started doing some crafting again after working so hard on the Market. It was a nice break but happy to be creating again.
This weeks BSU challenge is COLOR! Our colors are Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie, Calypso Coral, and Blushing Bride. Interesting combo. But this lovely card here is what i came up with. I broke out the Watercolor Wings for this week, and added the Perfect Pairings Sale a Bration set as well as the Gorgeous Grunge set. I layered the butterfly using Blushing Bride and di the outer sections of the wings and the body in Pumpkin Pie. I stamped the wing veins in Calypso Coral. I used Wisteria Wonder for the splatters and the sentiment. Layered this all on a base of Pool Party card stock stamped with the small butterfly and the dotted background piece in Pool Party ink. I made a lil bow of Pool Party cotton ribbon and finished with a bling jewel.

Hope you've enjoyed this lil challenge...be sure to try it out for yourself. Also don't forget to head over to Terri's Blog HERE and Stace's Blog HERE to see what they came up with for this week. Take care and enjoy your week.........

Hello and welcome to this weeks Broke Stampers Unite challenge. This week we are focusing on Color. Melon Mambo, Marina Mist, Wild Wasabi, Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla. I played around with a few different options, but the card above was the only one I could get to come out to my liking. My stamping Mojo was a bit lacking I guess. I kept making simple stamping mistakes and ruined a few cards. This was the first one I did nd it came out fine so maybe I was trying to hard lol.

I started out with a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and stamped my flower images from Flowering Fields in Sahara Sand. I then used an aqua painter and colored in the flowers using Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi, and Marina Mist. I stamped the sentiment in Wild Wasabi using the Hello stamp from the Sale A Bration set named Hello. I really like this sentiment stamp. Sad that it was only a short time stamp. Anyway......I layered the Very Vanilla layer onto a piece of Melon Mambo. I finished it off with  few hits with the splatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge.

Don't forget you can always join us in these challenges, and post you work on our Facebook group Here  We would love to see lots of participation in these challenges so please join us won't you?

Be sure to hop on over to Terri's blog Here and Stace's Blog Here Have a great week everyone!

Hello and Happy Saturday

How's your weekend going?? Today's post is made with Vintage Leaves and Leaflits Framelits. On this card I stamped and heat embossed the leaves on Whisper White. I then used sponge daubers and randomly sponged Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, and Early Espresso ink. I then cut them out with the framelits. The black medallion was made by snipping out the inside of the spider web doilies from the holiday catalog. Made the background with Gorgeous Grunge stamp set in Pumpkin Pie. I arranged the leaves and snarled two down and one I used dimensionals on to pop it. Added some Mossy Meadow bakers twine and a jewel rhinestone as well as some dazzling details on the medallion.

Hope you have a wonderful rest of your weekend and Thank You so much for stopping by.

Sketch Frenzy Friday

Its time for another Sketch Frenzy Friday Post.

I was fishing around on on Pinterest for some inspiration and found this fun color combo. Basic Black, Whisper White, Old Olive, Real Red and Soft Suede. Love love love this combo. I started with a base of Basic Black and covered it with a layer of Whisper White. I used the splatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge in Old Olive, Real Red and Soft Suede. Used the lighter splatter in Basic Black. I punched a cirlce and a layer in Whisper White and Basic Black stamped a sentiment from Crazy About You stamp set. Added a square of Real Red, Soft Suede, and Old Olive. Punch a flower in Real Red from the Petite Flower Punch. added a Basic Black candy dot to finish it off.

Hope you enjoy this weeks sketch....come on over to the SFF blog and submit your version of it. :) Love to see others playing along with us. Have a great week, and Thank You for stopping by.

Cucumber Crush

Hello and good day,

Todays post is all about Cucumber Crush. This is one of the In-Colors for 2015-17. I decided to take it for a spin and focus on just this color. It's such a pretty shade of green. With the ink color, the card stock color, the beautiful dotted lace ribbon (that I just finally broke out by the way....gasp!) why did I wait so long? All in the perfect matching shade it makes it so easy to have fantastic results with your projects. This is also a great shade of green to pair with some Real Red and make stunning Christmas cards. Something to think about. I hope you enjoy this trip to Cucumber Crush. If you haven't tried it out yet I so encourage you to. Have a great day...Thanks for stopping by. Oh yeah...don't forget to stop by tomorrow to see what I came up with for my Broke Stampers Unite post.....It's going to be good!

Thanks For Being You

Hello and welcome to todays post. This sweet card was inspired by a card I found on Pinterest By Susanne Jordan. I changed it up some but the basics are there. I just love the clean sweet look to this.
I started with a base of Pink Pirouette and stamped the lines from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set in Pink Pirouette. I then added some splatter marks also from the Gorgeous Grunge set in Rose Red. I stamped the flowers from Petite Petals and punch them with the Petite Petal Punch then used dimensionals to make them pop of the page. I stamped the sentiment from the Crazy About You stamp set by building my words to make the greeting. I added some bling because it just brings it all to life! Hope you enjoy todays card.....I thought I would take a break from the fall and holiday style cards. Thank You for stopping by!

Some Cards From The Weekend

I was able to spend a little time over the weekend creating some CASE'd cards and trying out some other ideas that have been floating around in my mind. Hope you enjoy some of these.

Work of Art stamp set

I have a strange relationship with this stamp set. LOL I look about for inspiration and to see what others are doing with these stamps and I'm amazed. The creativity is mind blowing. But when I sit down to put this set to ink I draw a complete blank and I end up forcing myself to make "something" LOL I end up casing someone else's idea. Two of these were cased  one wasn't, I won't reveal which. Hoping someday this set will talk to me! Until then.....this is what I got! ;)

Happy

I used the stamp pad direct to paper to get the frame background effect in Crushed Curry. I think this is one of my new fav techniques. I really need to order the pansy punch...the fussy cut thing is getting old! LOL I used a combo of Cherry Cobbler, Crushed Curry, Island Indigo, Garden Green, and Always Artichoke inks. Whisper White, Crushed Curry and Cherry Cobbler card stocks.

Many Thanks

Had a little while to play this evening.

Butterfly Happy

While the house guests were napping I snuck in and did some inking.
One of the make n takes posted on one of my groups inspired this card. I used papillon potpourri, gorgeous grunge, and hello love stamp sets. Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Marina Mist inks, pool party, kraft, whisper white card stock. Flat Back Pearls Then some random ribbon I had in my stash.

Flower Grunge

Ever have one of those cards where your vision just doesn't come out right?? This was one of those cards for me. But I guess it could be worse.

Never to old to Party
